Overview

Chanelle Desrosiers-Stewart is the Director, National Talent Development & Programming at Bennett Jones. In this role, she supports the Chief, Legal Talent in shaping and advancing the firm’s national lawyer development strategy. She serves as a key advisor and leads the implementation of a cohesive, forward-looking framework for lawyer learning, mentoring and career progression across the firm. In parallel with her national mandate, Chanelle leads the recruitment, integration and development of law students and lawyers in the Montréal office, ensuring a meaningful and enriching experience throughout their careers.

Before assuming her national role, Chanelle served as Director of Talent & Operations in the Montréal office, where she oversaw talent management and office operations. In that capacity, she led the recruitment, integration and development of emerging talent, while also managing operational functions to ensure the office ran efficiently and aligned with the firm’s national standards. Her collaborative approach contributed to a work environment focused on engagement, performance and continuous growth, while supporting a high-performing, inclusive and client-focused culture.

Earlier in her career, Chanelle maintained a general corporate commercial practice, advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and commercial agreements. This experience continues to inform her practical, business-oriented approach to talent development.

Fluent in both English and French, Chanelle is a member of the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) and the Professional Development Institute (PDI).
