Lukas VanDusen is an associate in the Competition/Antitrust & Foreign Investment group. With a JD/MBA and a business-focused mindset, he provides practical, client-centered advice on complex regulatory and strategic matters. Overview

Lukas is a competition lawyer who helps clients navigate complex Competition Act and Investment Canada Act matters. He advises on mergers, pricing, marketing and trade practices, coordinates with clients and advocates before the Competition Bureau. Combining sharp legal analysis with commercial insight, he guides businesses toward growth, innovation and strategic outcomes while staying compliant.

Before joining the firm, Lukas gained in-house experience with PepsiCo as Canada’s first Larry D. Thompson Legacy of Leadership Fellow, working with general counsel across global markets. He also completed a secondment with Coca-Cola, deepening his expertise in corporate governance, competition issues and the commercial realities of global brands.

During law school, Lukas served on Windsor Law’s Admissions Committee, reviewed applications, contributed to the university’s five-year strategic plan and in the process gained insight into institutional strategy, governance and long-term planning.

Lukas is a member of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) and the American Bar Association (ABA). A lifelong basketball fan, Lukas has coached youth teams in his hometown, emphasizing teamwork, communication and mentorship—values he also brings to his legal practice.
